HTM Technologies history of high-tech

In 1887 a factory for house and stove smithy was founded in Amsterdam. Today, HTM Technologies is a world leader in manufacturing of parts and components for highly technical markets. Our craftsmanship and eye for investing in employees, products and processes gave HTM Technologies a strong position. Through various business acquisitions, including Brandt FMI, and rebrandings, our company has grown into the best one stop shop for precision solutions.

In 2010, the PM-Group was established, later known as HTM Technologies. We launched a new company profile “Discover Precision” with the mission of precision. And that’s what we stand for today. In its history, HTM Technologies focuses on innovation and sustainability, not forgetting its social responsibility. With our decades of knowledge and experience, we deliver high-tech systems, products and solutions for the world of tomorrow.

2021: Rebranding to HTM Technologies, your “One stop shop for precision solutions”.

2014: Business acquisition of Brandt FMI.

As of the 18th of March 2014 the Brandt FMI activities will continue as a sister subsidiary of the PM-Group, located in Almere, The Netherlands. The advanced machining and ultra-precision competences of Brandt FMI will continue under the name PM-Precision and directly capital investments in high-tech equipment have been made.

2013: PM-Group positioned itself as a high-tech turn-key system supplier with three strategic highly specialized business divisions namely:

PM-Aerotec: Advanced aerospace and military module integration

PM-Precision: Ultra-high precision mechanical parts

PM-PSM: Advanced sheet metal and frame constructions

2012: Business acquisition Tecnovia Group

PM-Group announces business acquisition of the entire Tecnovia Group together with its subsidiaries Tecnovia van den Akker, Tecnovia PSM and Tecnovia Innaxion. Through this acquisition PM-Group is able to enter the more stable Aerospace and Military markets. This acquisition gives the PM-Group the unique ability to compensate the fluctuating semiconductor market demand with long-term projects.

The advanced sheet metal activities of the Tecnovia Group will continue under the name PM-PSM and directly capital investments in high-tech equipment have been made.

2012: WTC (World Trade Center) Export Award

PM-Group is the proud winner of the prestigious WTC (World Trade Center) Export Award.

2010: PM-Group was established.

PM-Group launched a new company profile “Discover Precision” with the mission “Our Mission is Precision”.

2007: Introduction of new brand name Tecnovia covering all group activities.

2007: Company name PSM changed into Tecnovia PSM B.V. Van den Akker company name changed into Tecnovia vd Akker.

2005: Brandt merger of Dinfa Precision Parts production facility and Brandt FMI trained by Boeing to Quality Center of Excellence.

2003: Brandt acquisition of Hevan and Dinfa Precision Parts and expansion into series production.

2002: Brandt commissioning of new premises in Almere.

2000: Van den Akker and PSM merged under one owner.

2000: Integration of sheet metal and machining activities into electro- mechanical assemblies. Brandt start of extensive investment programme.

1992: MBO sheet metal activities from Thales.

1987: Brandt Commissioning of a 6-axis Hauser coordinate grinding machine.

1983: Brandt as the fourth Dutch supplier certified according to ISO 9002.

1978: Tecnovia starts subcontracting activities in machining for Aerospace markets.

1977: Brandt purchase of the first CNC-controlled machines.

1969: Brandt focus on precision under the name Brandt FMI (Fijnmechanische Industrie).

1950: Brandt specialisation in manufacturing precision products.

1945: Change of name to Brandt Motor Products after take-over by Chr.H. Brandt.

1900: Brandt grown up as a machine factory on the Slootstraat in Amsterdam.

1887: Brandt founded as a factory, house and stove smithy.
